Students who had satisfied all outstanding financial aid requirements, had selected direct deposit as their refund preference prior to December 31, 2016, and were due a refund from authorized Financial Aid were eligible to receive their refunds in their bank account beginning the week of January 9th. Students who opted to receive a paper check instead of direct deposit should receive their refund the week of January 16th.
Refund processing is ongoing and as financial aid disburses to accounts, refunds will be made as soon as possible. For direct deposit, students can expect refunds 3-5 days after disbursement of funds to the account. For paper checks, students can expect refunds 7-14 days after aid disburses to the student's University account.
For more information about refund preferences, please click here. Timely refund processing is highly dependent upon students assuring that they have taken care of all outstanding requirements indicated in STAR. For more information about financial aid requirements, click here.
